With a lot of excitement and buzz about York Region’s newest Volleyball Club going into the 2015-2016 season; the club directors, staff, and coaches were very eager to start the first year with a bang!

Starting off the season with tryouts, we saw a staggering 300+ athletes from all over York Region and beyond vying for a spot on one of the many Venom Teams. After a very lengthy offer and signing period, Venom started it’s first year with 9 teams. These 9 teams along with our dedicated coaching staff went off to break records for a first year club in York Region. Here some of the many highlights our club was able to accomplish this year:

1) Largest 1st year club in York Region with 9 teams
2) Most Medals won by a first year club in York Region with 13 OVA medals (2 Gold, 3 Silver and 8 Bronze Medals)
3) 2 Provincial Gold Medals (17u girls and 15u boys)
4) 4 National Medals (1 Gold and 3 Silver)
5) 2 House leagues operating in Markham and Vaughan with over 30 participants in both sessions

Venom was able to set a high bar and standard for itself and is looking to expand on it’s success for the 2016/2017 season. Below you will find some information in regards to what Venom has coming up for the 2018/2019 season:

-July & August: Summer Indoor Volleyball Camp (spots are limited)

-Mid August: -Rep Preparation Camp
-Venom Athlete Signing Period
